British Wrestling Academy, Salford - Solar Panels & Air Source Heat Pump (008282)

The project aims to install solar panels with battery storage and an air-source heat pump at the British Wrestling Association headquarters site in Salford. The site is home to several community groups and charities. The proposed solar system is projected to generate approximately 42.66 MWh of clean energy per year, offsetting over 8 tonnes of CO₂ annually—the equivalent of planting 379 trees each year. Savings will be reinvested into community programmes, coaching, and events. As well as reducing both carbon emissions and energy expenditure the works will also ensure that the organisation can continue to have a positive impact on both physical and mental health of the users.
