Broadham Nature Reserve – Chalk Grassland Restoration

The project will:
– Restore species chalk and neutral grassland habitats
– Restore and maintain viable populations of rare man and other orchid species, black-veined moth and adder
-Restore and maintained woodland pasture with neutral grassland
– Re-establish habitats suitable for lost species such as: Adonis blue, Chalkhill blue and Duke of Burgundy Fritillary butterflies, nightingale and hawfinch
– Provide an on-going programme of community-based volunteer opportunities – direct engagement with nature conservation management and rare species protection
