Broadwater Farm, Tottenham - Harmony Gardens Improvements (2904/D)

Back2Earth built the Harmony Community Gardens PHASE 1 on wasteland around Broadwater Farm Community Centre and are now applying to fund new works on Phase 2. We plan to do this Project as tutored volunteering and training with workshops, especially involving young people and the long term unemployed from various communities round here. We will 1). Convert our big container into an eco-potting shed/training area with overhanging green roof canopy for shelter. 2). Build a child & wheelchair friendly bridge across the Nature Garden pond and repair the wildlife pond where vandalised. 3). Fit small pond in Leisure Garden with solar powered water feature. 4). Horticultural construction of raised beds, boxes, pergolas, frames & rainwater harvesting. 5). With our partners at the Centre we want to secure the Harmony Gardens and the Broadwater Farm Community Centre when closed to the public. The Trust grant will contribute towards the Harmony Garden Improvements
