Brockholes Play Area

Brockholes nature reserve is owned and managed by Lancashire Wildlife Trust and opened at Easter 2011. Our vision is to engage and inspire people in the natural world. The aim of the project is to develop a play area that will encourage children to explore the natural world around them. The play area is set in a wildflower meadow and will make use of natural materials where possible. The play area will provide an inclusive community focal point (it is free to those who visit on foot, by bike, or by bus) as well as a destination for visitors from further afield.
