Bromsgrove RFC Pitch Improvement Project

Bromsgrove RFC operates 22 teams on a four pitch site during the winter season and 3 rugby league teams in the summer. With an average of 11 matches taking place at home on a weekend and then a further 8 midweek training sessions the club’s pitches are significantly over capacity. The pitches are not drained. With over use and poor weather 25% of matches can be lost. This affects not only regular participant numbers but also the club’s financial sustainability. The club maintains the pitches at a cost of £15k per year. The project will drain and irrigate two pitches.
