Burgh-by-Sands Village Hall;

Our aim is to redevelop and upgrade Burgh by Sands Parish Public Hall and to greatly increase the social, recreational and learning facilities available – plus advice sessions and health and well-being activities for young people and the elderly – with the aim of improving the quality of life for those in the parish and surrounding areas. The work will address serious defects, which require increasingly costly repairs by introducing features designed to widen the use of the Hall in terms of activities and numbers able to participate, including; a new Community Service Room, a “drop in” centre and coffee shop for the benefit of residents and visitors, including walkers on the Hadrian’s Walk Trail, with tourist information and displays celebrating the rich historical heritage of the area.
