Burnfoot Community Hub

1) Purchase of redundant Burnfoot Roadhouse Pub, bringing the asset into community ownership.
2) Extension and refurbishment of the building to create Burnfoot Community Hub which will include:
• Self-contained nursery suite with full day-care provision from age 2, with places for 35 children.
• Community Café
• large soft-play facility
• four office spaces, one to deliver NHS Healthy Living Network provision, others to provide key services and income streams into the Hub (one sound-proofed)
• multi-function room for workshops, presentations, physical activity, dance studio, birthday parties, community events
• external garden for enjoyment and small-scale food growing
• children’s play area and a second secure play area serving the nursery suite
