Burrows BMX Pump Track

Installation of a BMX Pump Track on Burrows Playing Field in the Leckhampton area of Cheltenham. Leckhampton is a family orientated area with limited recreational facilities. This project would see the installation and management of a BMX pump track. It would provide an outdoor activity for young and old including families, whilst offering the opportunity for the community to engage in a sport/hobby that brings everybody outdoors for exercise. Cheltenham has no similar biking facilities. This is a free facility for people to use. The BMX track is proposed in the southern corner of the local park, as a resource to be e3njoyed by the community. The track will form a series of bumps with rounded profiles made of compacted stone and grass verges/banks. The Pump track aims to complement existing use of the area by dog walkers, footballers and local cricket clubs; provide a new and sustainable facility that is attractive to cyclists of all ages and abilities; and be technically challenging.
