Burton & Winkton Community Centre, Christchurch - Community Centre Replacement Boiler (008268)

The aim is to create a more environmentally friendly building reducing the organisations carbon footprint with the provision of a modern working efficient boiler, improved roof insulation and LED lighting. The current boiler finally failed in November 2024 when an heating engineer could not save it and it was disconnected, since then the organisation has been reliant on rented infrared heating units to heat the building so that it could still be used by the community in the colder months. A roof clean will permit a full survey of the roof to take place, which could uncover issues that need attention. The kitchen will also be upgraded to ensure the building remains well maintained for community users.
