Buxton Park Bowling Club – Rebuild of Access Path & Seats

This project is for improvements at Buxton Park Bowling Club. The Bowling Club is part of the Buxton Cricket Bowling and Tennis Club. The south side of the bowling green adjoins the boundary and surrounds of the cricket field, but it is at a higher elevation. Therefore, there is a slope between the greenside path and the surrounds of the cricket field. Around all sides of the bowling green, there is a footpath, but on the cricket ground (south) side there are also seating benches at the top of the slope. This footpath and the benches have become unstable and are both sliding down the slope, making the whole side of the green potentially unstable. This project is to stabilise and to make safe the whole of that side of the green using steel and concrete, and to prevent further deterioration.
