External repairs and restoration of the fabric of the building to redress the effects of the wear and tear of 120 years of constant use as a community building. To improve the facilities and environment in the Town Hall and Arts Centre in order to maximise use by the local community and offer a wider range of resources for new users. Through modernisation of heating, lighting and insulation, obtain gains in energy efficiency and improve sustainability. To provide a safe and welcoming environment where members of the local community can be involved in a wide range of activities and experiences.
