Calder Future: Baliff Bridge

Calder Future provides a co-ordinated approach to river improvements and provides opportunities for those who live and work beside the waterways in Calderdale to participate in practical projects on the ground. Clifton Beck (a tributary for the Calder) flows through Baliff Bridge on the eastern boundary of Calderdale at the crossroad of two major A routes.
A Community Association has been successful in establishing a continuous area for community use to completely revitalise the village. A new Community Centre (including library/community garden) is being built adjacent to a regenerated Memorial Garden (756094.138) and school. LTCs will fund the final piece of the jigsaw, the creation of an adjoining beckside footpath.
