Calder Future: Mixenden Meanders

Calder Future provides a co-ordinated approach to river improvements and provides opportunities for those that live and work beside the waterways in Calderdale to participate in practical projects on the ground. Clough Banks Beck (a tributary for the Calder) is an area which is frequented by children and provides enough grass for playing football whilst providing a pleasant aspect easily accessible from a high density, high rise housing estate, Mixenden residents are one of the most deprived communities in the country (from National Statistics). Middle Mixenden Tenants Association have expressed an interest in undertaking physical access improvements on the Beck.
