Calderdale Industrial Museum

In 1987, two years after it opened, Calderdale Industrial Museum was named as the best social and industrial museum in the country. It was mothballed by the Council in 2000, but there has been a significant community and volunteer-led revival of interest (prompted partly by a £16M Piece Hall Transformation Project) with the goal of once again having a vibrant industrial museum which celebrates Calderdale's unique industrial heritage.
