Cambo~ A window on the past~ a door to the future

HLF has been secured towards the restoration of the Georgian Stables on Cambo Estate to form a new visitor hub and learning loft to sustain and carry out the objectives of Cambo Institute. Externally the fabric condition varies from good to poor. The original harling on the stonework has fallen away leading to significant weathering of the stonework. There are areas where the stonework is in reasonable condition but driving wind and rain have caused honeycombing and delamination which have taken their toll. Some stone indenting will be required together with repointing of the entire elevations.
