CAN ON – Observing Nature

We want to utilise currently unused, inaccessible green space and create an outdoor educational room and observation area for the local community to use. This will involve landscaping the area to allow the outdoor area to sit on the site and it will provide an accessible opportunity to enjoy the local natural environment. The site will provide access to green therapy opportunities which can take place in the room plus we will create a nature trail around the site which people can enjoy. The project will also provide the public with access to the site and shelter in inclement weather and help educate people on what the local flora and fauna is on the site. This project will have improved a public amenity and provided an accessible green space and biodiverse environment not found locally in the borough.
