Canford Park Sports, Magna Road Natural Turf Pitches Additional Drainage

The existing sports pitches at Magna Road were constructed many years ago with what was then considered the appropriate amount of pitch drainage. In recent years with heavier rainfall the pitches are frequently unable to be used due to water logging. The existing drainage does not meet current design standard and this project is to increase the amount of drainage to bring the pitches up to current standard so that better use can be made of them in the football season.
