Canklow Community Arts & Crafts Centre, Rotherham - Community Cabin Cladding (007639)

The regeneration of the community cabin will transform a impractical, dark, and inaccessible environment into a stimulating and exciting resource for the local residents. The aim of the project is to provide a platform for community led events and activity. The carefully designed cabin will create a sense of ownership within the community and will have the longevity to improve Canklow's social sphere for many years to come. It will become a vibrant and engaging tool for Canklow’s residents. The aim of the redesign is to create a well-used space in a community that currently doesn’t have a meeting hub to suit the exciting and vibrant social development. The development of this space will be community focussed, letting volunteers and Canklow residents lead the design and build of the project.
