Captains Clough Woodland Improvement Scheme

We will upgrade and make safe the path network, steps and access points, installing barriers to prevent motorbike access. We will carry out a treatment programme to eradicate Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam which are prevalent at the site and replace with understorey tree and wildflower species respectively. We will engage the local community in a litter picking operation to help develop a sense of ownership for the site
