Caring for Eades Meadow

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (WWT) believes that a landscape-scale approach to wildlife conservation is essential. Wildlife needs space to adapt and move to cope with the consequences of climate change. Practically, this means that to deliver on our biodiversity vision, we need to develop a coherent network of large areas linked by corridors that can provide benefits for people as well as for biodiversity. Our nature reserves form important ‘islands’ within this ecological network. For the purpose of this project we have selected Foster’s Green and Eades Meadow nature reserve, which requires hedge cutting, crown lifting, grazing and the construction of a livestock handling area in order to maintain its biodiversity value within the landscape.
