Caring for Ipsley Alders nature reserve

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (WWT) believes that a landscape-scale approach to wildlife conservation is essential. Wildlife needs space to adapt and move to cope with the consequences of climate change. Practically, this means that to deliver on our biodiversity vision, we need to develop a coherent network of large areas linked by corridors that can provide benefits for people as well as for biodiversity. Our nature reserves form important ‘islands’ within this ecological network and for the purpose of this project we have selected Ipsley Alders nature reserve which requires essential scrub control, grazing and boardwalk repairs over the coming year in order to maintain its biodiversity value within the landscape.
