Caring For Life – Al Fresco Dining

To reconfigure an existing meeting room at the back of the main reception area to create a community café. Works will involve creating a serving area and seating area, installing fire doors, moving radiators, decorating etc. To compliment this new community café, summer houses will be installed within the grounds of Caring For Life. Twelve summerhouses in total (3 large seating 8 people, 4 medium seating 4 people and 4 small seating 2/4 people) will be sited around Caring For Life, some close to the café and others further into the nature conservation area. The idea of the summerhouses is that visitors can use these as outdoor seating areas and can enjoy an outdoors-indoors eating experience. Where practicable the summerhouses would have heating and lighting to enable extended use. Project works would also involve levelling an area that has been damaged due to earlier building works at the site and re-turfing this area.
