Caring for Tiddesley Wood nature reserve

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (WWT) believes that a landscape-scale approach to wildlife conservation is essential. Wildlife needs space to adapt and move to cope with the consequences of climate change. Practically, this means that to deliver on our biodiversity vision, we need to develop a coherent network of large areas linked by corridors that can provide benefits for people as well as for biodiversity. Our nature reserves form important ‘islands’ within this ecological network. For the purpose of this project we have selected Tiddesley Wood nature reserve, which requires ride side management and coppicing work over the coming year in order to maintain its biodiversity value within the landscape.
