Carlingwark Loch and Lochside Park – Environmental Improvements

We aim to install aeration units and fountain into the loch to improve the loch’s oxygen levels and induce circulation of stagnant areas of water. The principal reasons for the installation of the aerators and fountain will be to assist in combating the current blue / green algae issues and water quality problems.
The improvement in water quality will enable us to reintroduce sailing, fishing, canoeing etc. back into the loch. The fountain will play a central role in sustaining wildlife whilst having a hugely important environmental impact on the water quality and activity on the loch.
