Carrickfergus Woodlands for Wellbeing

To help Carrickfergus people live longer, healthier lives by encouraging them to take exercise in and explore the beautiful and historic wooded surroundings of Bashfordsland Wood and Oakfield Glen. Aims for the project are: 600m of path improved, outdoor gym and wellbeing circuit designed and installed, sculpted waymarkers designed by local children and installed through the wood, habitats improved by controlling laurel and rhododendron and removing some trees to create more open spaces, entrance signs designed and installed.
