Carymoor Environmental Centre for Reed Bed Upgrade

Improvement of reed bed system at Carymoor Environmental Centre to meet needs of increasing visitor numbers. The present reed bed is no longer able to cope with the increase in numbers since it was first installed. An upgrade will enable us to continue allowing our visitor centre to be used for envirnmental education and wildlife conservation. Carymoor, based on a former landfill site, is an award winning nature reserve and centre for education and information on sustainability. The use of reed bed for waste removal is an important element of this message, and the aims of the centre.
