Cassiobury Park Wetland Restoration Project

The project will restore and enhance a biodiverse wetland area on the Local Nature Reserve in Cassiobury Park, adjacent to the River Gade. The project aims to enhance biodiversity, improve water quality and maintain the flood plain function of the watercress bed area. Funding will be used to excavate and restore the habitat of a linear marsh and pool, extend a wildlife pond, erect new fencing to protect biodiversity and provide two lectern interpretation boards to raise awareness of the importance of the wetlands.
