Castleford – Fairburn Ings Visitor facility Upgrade

Really inviting paths run from Castleford and Fairburn village to Fairburn Ings nature reserve, but because it is unsurfaced it becomes dusty in the summer, but in the winter the path becomes impassable for many people because of the mud. The locals describe it as “poggy” and needs a lot of work. The path to be worked on is 2,895m long and runs near the river Aire. Drainage will be installed and a proper surface will be laid down making the path negotiable year round.
