Caton with Littledale Action for Play (CLAP)

Refurbish Fell View Play Area to provide provision for toddlers and older children (according to Play England 10 principles of good play design). There is a desperate need for better play facilities for all ages in Caton. The area of Fell View has been identified to assist in such provision. The population of Caton is around 2700, there is no toddler play provision.

The current Fell View play provision is dated and does not comply with current thinking about play; some equipment needs removing as it has become hazardous.

Consultations have been held with children from the local schools, parents and youth groups; the proposals have received overwhelming support.

At an open meeting comments from the residents of the surrounding houses were taken into consideration to refine the proposed scheme.
