We’re beginning the second phase of decarbonising the centre, helping to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions and running costs by • Install a Building Management System (BMS) providing zonal heating, addressing comfort/ventilation issues faced by users while reducing energy consumption • Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery units (MVHR: improve air quality for all our users, while reducing heating costs • Install an Air Source Heat Pump removing the need for fossil fuels in the centre, allowing us to work with renewable energy sources. The award from Biffa will support funding the installation of the Air Source Heat Pump
