Cefn Mawr Memorial Garden – Treasured Space

We believe that people everywhere and of every age need places to treasure. Whether its a place to kick a football about, a place to relax, or a place to have fun. Not everyone is getting the benefit of good outside space. Some people are missing out and some communities just don’t have any green space to treasure. We are running a campaign to encourage more people to get involved with supporting and improving local treasured spaces. Surrounding the Cefn Mawr cenotaph, there is a walled memorial garden which is in need of maintenance to make it a safe and attractive place once again. The area is in need of some redesigning to ensure it remains easy to manage, tidy and safe. Working with a contractor and volunteers , the site will be cleared, new shrubs and paths installed, the fences repainted and stonework cleaned, to provide a locally needed open green space at the heart of the community. Future plans also include the development of an orchard.
