Central Access Trail

The Grange Estate, owned by Marston Vale Trust, is located between Willington and Bedford and forms part of the Bedford River Valley Park (BRVP) initiative. The Trust has recently opened up the river bank to the public through the construction of a multi user route and a new footbridge around the edge of the Grange Estate.
Thls project will see the next stage of work undertaken with the construction of an 810m multi user route through the centre of the Grange estate, completing the new network and resulting in greater access to the countyside for a wide range of people.
The new route, consisting of a 3m wide multi user track and a 2m wide seeded bridleway, will provide pedestrians and cyclists with an option of a 2.8k circular route if they don’t feel the existing 4 .4km route is suitable for them, as well as helping to create a circular route for horse riders.
