Chadderton Canal Community Project

The aim of this project is to improve the environs of the Rochdale Canal within the Chadderton area of Oldham to create a much improved recreational resource and wildlife corridor for local people to enjoy and value. This will be done by clearing existing overgrown vegetation which can at times restrict access; upgrading pathway materials to create a more accessible waterway; erecting new signage to encourage greater use of the canal; formalising a key access point onto the canal from a local supermarket.
