Chadderton, Oldham - Dedicated Youth Centre

The aim of this project is to convert two adjoining multipurpose rooms into a dedicated, fully equipped youth centre that offers a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for young people. The works will include removing the existing partition wall, installing flexible concertina dividers, undertaking full redecoration and flooring replacement, upgrading electrical systems, and fitting new fire-safe and wheelchair-accessible doors. The project will also add built-in seating, a small kitchen area for life-skills activities, and essential furniture, equipment, games, and learning resources.
By creating a modern and welcoming space tailored specifically to young people’s needs, the project will provide a valuable community asset that supports social development, wellbeing, and access to positive activities. This youth centre will enhance local provision for young people, encourage greater community engagement, and ensure the space is accessible and beneficial to all.
