Chadkirk Country Park – Woodland & Grassland Project

The aims are to improve biodiversity value of the native broadleaf woodland and grassland at the site and to enhance the benefit the public will receive by increasing their involvement.
Both the woodland and grassland are LBAP habitats supporting local and national BAP species including bats.
The initial work will be carried out by contractors. The friends group / volunteers will also do some of this initial work as part of their BCTV training. The friends group will be involved in the ongoing maintenance together with the Senior Ranger once they have received adequate training in the use of the new equipment.
