Changes to the church seating arrangements at Eglwys Mynydd Seion Casnewydd / Newport

The church was built in the early 19th centuary and still has the original wooden pews within the body. In order to accommodate the many and varied users of the church as a building, the seating arragements need to be changed in order to bring it up to modern standards. The church is the focus for all Welsh Language activities in the town centre and it is expected that the demand for use of the building as a multi – use centre will rise over the next few years. The number of Welsh speakers is increasing within the City and hence it is recognised that a building that can accommodate various activities is urgently required.
