There is currently no amenity in the area offering a place to sit and chat, meet friends or grab a bite to eat and engage socially in a safe, friendly and informal setting. This project will refurbish a disused shop into a community cafe with additional community rooms. Changes Cafe will offer a vibrant welcoming space to see a regular friendly face and promote community based support. The project will also bring employment, volunteering opportunities, access to training and new skills particularly for or those who are facing exclusion from society.

The project will promote community cohesion by addressing discrimination, stigma poverty and other social inequalities in the Lyndon Ward with a focus on inclusion for all. The core message for this project is that everyone is welcome, just as you are.

Changes Café will create opportunities for wider social interaction within the community building, and will be fully inclusive to all. Part of the property will be converted into a sensory room.
