Chapel Allerton Playground, Leeds – New playground equipment and surfacing (007784)

The project seeks to improve and enhance play opportunities for users of Chapel Allerton park. The existing playground equipment in Chapel Allerton park is around 20 years old and no longer meets the needs of the diverse community it serves and the changing needs of local children, parents and carers. This project seeks to address through providing an exciting, dynamic and inclusive space where children of all abilities and their families can play, learn and have fun together. The project will see the installation of equipment that offers a range of play opportunities which seeks to develop children’s cognitive ability, sensory abilities and social skills, along with helping children develop coping skills for life and help improve their mental health along with their general health and well being, providing both active and passive recreational opportunities for families.
