Chapel FM, Leeds – New Community Kitchen (006857)

With 18,000+ visitors each year, and not previously been able to offer food to anyone in the building. Currently tea and coffee is made in catering flasks, which are served with cakes and biscuits from a small table in the corner of the room. This project will build a kitchen within an under-utilised room enabling a community café to run during the day, plus enabling food and drink to serve at events. In addition this project will enable local groups to book the hall space to run activities such as a luncheon club for elderly and frail local residents, and the kitchen will be used to prepare food to be served.
