Chappel & Wakes Colne Cricket Club

The project aims to take down the existing machinery shed and construct a new games room in timber frame construction with a slate roof.
The games room will be fitted out with a pool table, table tennis, table football, darts board etc. It is also anticipated that with the advantage of having a large field adjacent to the games room that other sports can be played e.g. rounders, netball, 6 a-side football etc.
The project has been planned by the young members of the club who will also oversee the building work and contribute to the decision making on what is required and assist in the running of the new facility.
The facility will be built totally by voluntary labour from the cricket club members which include qualified tradesmen and site managers etc.
Wherever possible the project will try to use recycled materials ie hardcore, special wall insulation from recycled paper etc. The project will also try to reuse as much of the existing construction as possible.
