Chequer Mead, East Grinstead – New, Updated LED Lighting

All existing tungsten theatre lighting at this busy Community Arts Centre will be removed and replaced with modern LED lights. The tungsten lighting was installed when the theatre was built in 1996 and some units no longer work and are very out-of-date. Bulbs and spare parts for these units are becoming increasingly difficult to source and consequently are now more expensive. The LED lighting will reduce the number of units needed and, with the increased lifetime of bulbs, will avoid supply uncertainties to ensure seamless performances without any unexpected hitches. LED lighting will keep up with technological advancements and embrace a more cost effective and sustainable future. The improvements will ensure the best experiences for audiences and for those performing, especially the community choirs, dance schools, theatre groups and local schools hosted here. Having modern LED lighting will make performances more enjoyable and professional for all.
