Cherry Lodge Improvement Project

The project aims to:
– move the kitchen to the other end of the lodge to make it larger and therefore more accessible for everyone including those with disabilities. It will be updated with more work surfaces, a variable height table in the centre and facilities to allow catering for at least 25 people.
– create another leaders room with beds rather than bunks and a washroom for those with disabilities.
– the present kitchen will be changed into a room with three showers and wash basins which would be suitable for everyone to use including those with disabilities.
– two further toilets will be put in the old washroom
– three old electric wall heaters will be replace with modern efficient alternatives
– a false ceiling installed to help with insulation and cutting costs
