Chertsey Museum On-Line Resources Project

Chertsey Museum aims to provide an on-line education service to assist schools with their lesson planning, to encourage a greater use of the museum’s services and to provide a unique on-line hub to meet the demands of an expanding education service.

Chertsey Museum is seeking funding to create new on-line resources and lesson plans for teachers, an on-line booking system for the loan boxes (Boxes on various topics which contain real and replica objects) and other resources and a searchable database of the collections held. The new resources will include a professionally written teacher’s pack for each of the loan boxes, giving the history of the objects included as well as suggested activities based on the National Curriculum with cross curricula links.
