Chessington Cricket Club – Practice Nets

Chessington CC is at the heart of the local community. The project is to demolish a damaged, non-compliant synthetic cricket net and to build a new ECB approved system within a safety fence making it safe & secure for all users. This is very much a community facility that is open for all users.
The request for funding is towards the total project cost as it is a major improvement of public amenities, which are open and accessible to the general public. This includes groundwork, preparation of bases, erection of structural poles and netting.
The current nets are over 20 years old & are now in need of replacement. Due to changes in H & S regulation it is not compliant with ECB standards and users are at risk of harm. The nets are critical to the club’s success, development and growth. Without a new facility the club may be at risk.
