Chester-le-Street Community Association

Chester-le-Street Community Association manages and maintains the community building and provide services and activities.
This application is requesting funding to clear an area of land at the rear of the community centre. The land is approximately 35 x 15ft and is currently unused. The fire exit emergency route opens onto this piece of land as well as a number of windows from the main building. The group would like to clear the existing weeds, replace the top soil and plant the area with a number of different flowers and shrubs. All of the work will be carried out by volunteers and the costs involved are to hire equipment and purchase materials. The work will bring back into use a currently wasted piece of land in a thriving community centre.
