Chimney Removal, Christ Church Tettenhall Wood, Wolverhampton

This is a project to remove the chimney stack at Christ Church Tettenhall Wood, and rationalisation of the roof in the vicinity of the chimney stack, including repointing and installation of air bricks. This will address a longstanding problem of water penetration into the building. As part of the project exploratory work will be carried out to the roof to identify any defects and water damage which will also be dealt with. The applicant’s aim is to maintain the church as a warm, safe, healthy and welcoming environment to encourage its use for a wide range of activities catering for people from all age ranges & backgrounds. Dealing with the cause of the longstanding damp problem - will contribute towards that.
