Christ Church, Coxley – Porch Extension

Project has four main elements:
1 – To create a wheelchair friendly pathway from Harters Hill Road to the Church. At present there are three steps to access the Churchyard and then two further steps to get into Church. The new path will start from a different place and remove all of these steps within a suitable gradient.
2 – Replacement of the existing porch with a larger (wider and deeper porch) which will create a larger entrance circulation area. It is intend to use glazed doors to increase the sense of welcome offered by the building.
3 – Installation of two lavatory cubicles with accessible facilities and baby changing units. At present there are no facilities whatsoever within the Church.
4 – The creation of a servery from which light refreshments and beverages can be served. This will be linked, by means of a hatch, into the Church which will create an additional serving station for concerts and similar community events.
