Christ Church, Hailsham – Solar Panel and Battery Storage Installation (008064)

Installaling solar panels to our building, as the next step in becoming more environmentally friendly. The church uses their building for community projects throughout the week and are keen to reduce our carbon footprint and further take responsibility for the impact they have on our environment.

The project will include installing a 33.58kW roof system, of 73 solar panels on the large roof space, to maximise the energy they can generate. With the addition of installing batteries which can also store this energy and calculations have shown that should be able to ensure that over 80% of the energy used in the building will then be coming from self-generated renewable solar energy, generating over 32,000kWh per annum.
