Christ Church, Heeley – Refurbishment

Modernisation/conversion of the church into multi-purpose accessible community facility: removing pews/levelling floors/providing a ramp to raised stage area/ providing energy efficient heating/lighting/moving the pulpit to provide a large stage area/provision of a room suitable for creche/meetings.
Level floor/disabled ramp access; Community meeting room/crèche; Remove pews for additional space;Remove gallery/pillars for flexible floor space; Update lighting/heating systems; Floor Coverings; Decoration. The work will create a much needed large flexible space which would be economic to run and accessible for all. Not undertaking the work would mean that the space concerned would remain suitable only for worship with very limited community use due to inaccessibility, pews, and poor heating.
