Church External Wall Refurbishment

The aim of the project is to maintain the waterproof integrity of the church walls and secure the stone work.
To achieve this it is planned to pick out the existing external pointing including skews, ridges and tabling stones and re-point the building with cement lime mortar. The use of cement lime mortar was advised by the Methodist Church Buildings Consultant (Murray Montgomery Partnership – Quantity Surveyors) as the best choice post quinquenial survey of the church infrastructure in November 2007. The work was recommended to be completed within 5 years of the survey.
